Hi, this looks like one of the radiator shrouds, it should sit between the radiator and the grille to direct the air into the radiator. This is not a critical part in the UK as our ambient temperatures are not as high as other markets the car is sold in, but it may cost you some fuel efficiency as air will be flowing through the engine bay, causing drag. I believe to be able to refit this, the front bumper needs to be taken off, and it is mounted using push clips.

thanx for the tip. it makes sense as we found it around that area. i'll go check it out and see if i can squeeze it back into it's place.

I've actually recently secured this onto my own micra, as someone said earlier, this little plastic cover fits close to the radiator, and is mounted directly in front of the aircon pump and drive belt to prevent water from splashing and causing it to squeal! I can take a picture if that would help?

That would be awesome if you could take a pic!
I've just found this sticking out under the bumper and for the life of me, can't work out where it goes...

I'm actually changing my alternator this weekend, so what I'll do is I will show you where the panel is actually secured, I will add that you'll need plastic clips to secure the panel 👀 cause mine was very and nearly fell off

Much appreciated!

Much appreciated! I have some clips, I'd lost a few on the bumper and was replacing them when I dicovered the panel!!

Top view of where the panel is located, in front of the alternator, and a couple aircon pipes.

The plastic panel guards the alternator, belt and aircon pump from water and debris, as seen through the bumper (on the left).

As I needed to take the belt off for my alternator, I removed the wheel arch lining, which gave me the perfect opportunity to show ya how it sits in front of the car.
