before i start sorry there arent many step by step pics yet but it wasnt going to be a project til the little nipper grew on me!
i got this little beasty by total accident, after losing a good paying job last year i kept downgrading cars from a race prepped civic to a 106, via a few other bangers! anyways after the 106 clutch decided to do this...
i found this...
400 quids worth of automatic loveliness, 64k on the clock with fsh and very original and clean, especially the interior which is like new (the red drivers seat in the pics is just a snap on seat cover to keep it clean)
it was dog slow when i got it, and the heater didnt work, so i opened the bonnet to have a fiddle and hear some major air leaking, i found of the 3 vacuum hoses from the inlet manifold to dizzy etc, 2 were missing and 1 was split! once i replaced those she was a LOT better and isnt that bad for an old 1.2 auto, although she can do about 90 sitting at over 75 on the dual carriageway is a bit hard work tho!
anyways so i did the hoses and new discs and pads, then thought hmmm...needs to go lower!
lopped 2 coils off all round, job done!
by now the little car had started to grow on me, i got the heater working, the controls had disconnected somehow but i found the lever under the dash and locked it on!
decided to go a bit rat look, not the make everything rusty and cover it warning tape, just the kinda old jalopy naturally a bit ####e look haha, so got a few stickers and that, tried some wheeltrims but wasnt keen!
i then fitted a cd player, and thought id underseal her for winter, the sills looked a bit grey and some nasty rust was setting in, so while i was at it i also painted the rims, and the roof!
so thats it for now, future plans are eventually id like some 13x7's or wider, but if i keep the steels i might fit some figaro centre hubcaps, little chrome things, and i may do a 'rat flap' as i did one on my civic and it was quite a neat little feature...
id also like to chequer the roof...thats about it really!
will get some nicer pics soon these are just off my phone...
