K11 Sportex backbox fitting issues

Just replaced my rear section and backbox - rear section with a pattern part and backbox with a second hand sportex one..

The exhaust tip sticks out way too far now about 2-3in - slightly further then the top of the bumper protrudes.. Yet all the hangers are lined up OK - my local exhaust place fitted it.
I'll do for now to keep me mobile but cosmetically its not great and could i suspect be a potential mot fail if deemed to protrude too far. (it does sound good though)

Anyone else had similar issues as I know they are a popular make. Car is a R plate prefacelift 5dr 1.3.

I had a K11c mid pipe with a silencer box in lieu of a cat and it fitted okay. Mine poked out as far as the chrome on the tip.

It poked out further when I had a decat fitted.

Maybe I'll get the mid pipe cut down an inch or so. Don't really want to alter the backbox if I can help it.
