k11 1.0L Driveshaft change

guys.

im looking at changing my right driveshaft tomorrow and was wondering if theres any advice when going it atall?

first time trying this

Tray to catch the gearbox oil unless you drain it first. New driveshaft seal £6 from Nissan, new oil to fill back up. I jacked up the car and removed the strut to give more movement to remove the shaft. It only takes 10 mins and gives you lots more room to manoeuvre. Make sure you undo the hub nut whilst the car is on the ground with a reallllllly long breaker bar for ease.

Good tips. Worth investing in the updated WSM to give you all the basic steps.

And if you don't have a breaker bar, a decent metal pole on the end of a socket wrench will do just fine, long as it gives you a better lever.

ahh thanks guys, well I've got 5ltr of 75w90 anyway so the oil is no problem ummm so I need a driveshaft seal on top of buying a whole shaft ? also will an impact gun undo the hub nut?

You don't need a seal, its just they have a habit of leaking once disturbed. Your impact gun may get it off but a breaker bar always works. Try it first.
