And so far I've taken the rear badges off (bar the vauxhall badge which I am replacing for an opel one):

Plans are to fit the debadged grille which is coming for it, maybe paint the wheels and stick my stereo in, when it comes out of the garage later (cam belt change)

TBH its a boring diesel runner, but its comfy, quiet and does well over 50mpg and for the mileage I do, I'm happy lol

be wary of the diesel pump controller going tits up, mines done it twice in 4 years :( (but then it has covered 148k miles now) check its history to see if its had a replacement...

nothing wrong with diesels! mckenziecz whos on here has audi a4 for his run about while he works on his Mr2! makes sense (Y) astras looking clean though :grinning:

yer i've heard about the diesel controllers, i looked into it before i bought it. This has done 173k but it drives like new.

ahh that sounds like the izuzi unit then ;) best bet it to budget around £300 'just in case' it does let go...and under no circumstances let a recovery company 'attempt a repair' the AA ruined mine :(

Well I have sold the satnav centre console on ebay for a £15 quid profit and have put a fixed mount in for the satnav instead.
This is how she stands now:

some nice mods there. you gonna keep it fairly standard? like use standard vauxhall parts? where did you get the bonnet lifters?

At ~£1.30 a litre, I'll bet it isn't . Get a Micra, you know it makes sense (Y).

Yer, the focus is quite quick but I've never liked fords much, just got it cause I fancied a quicker car for a while that was cheapish to insure.

Jyeah Fords suck. Last week at the Performance Ford Day at Crail, ST170's, ST's etc, all getting pwned by 14 year old rusty Datsuns!

Nissan ftw!
