Hi all,
I'm Kevin F and I'm from Belgium.
Since I was little I'm a Toyota Enthusiast ("Micra is a Nissan Stupid!" - I know, hang on please )
My first car was a Toyota Carina II 2.0D, afterwards I found a identical 1.6i which I'm now swapping a 4A-GE 20V in.
It's not the fastest car but, it has nostalgic value for me.
You can find all info about the car here:

Besides this project car I bought a Toyota Celica from '81 with also a 4A-GE swappend in, but that is the first 16V generation. My friend and I where great enthusiasts about the Top Gear roadtrips. The destination was defined pretty quick, it would be central-europe (Croatie, Bosnia, Hongary, ....)
We drive both a boring leasing car (he a Auris HSD, me atm a Superb and soon a 118d) as a daily so that was no option. We bought first a Supra MKIII Turbo for the roadtrip. We knew that Supra MKIII's where the worst Toyota's ever made but we where in love . But soon it broke, again and again and we sold it because it was not reliable enough for the roadtrip.
So we searched an other car and we found this one:
And old Toyota Celica with a 4A-GE swapped into it. It's very reliable and it proved itself already, here is pick when I took it to the Nurburgring (it's a 2hour trip for me)
The roadtrip will be in September. If you know cool (petrolhead) stuff in that area or interesting people, please send me a message, I'll be very grateful.
About the Micra then (finally!).
It sound pretty cliché, but it's the car of my girlfriend.
It's a K11 1.0 Limited Edition '98 (the last one of the pre-facelifts with painted bumpers, sunroof,??)
She bought it 2 years ago from her aunt that passed away, the car had back then 65.000km. Now the car has atm 80.000km (50k miles) I think. It looks, feels and drives like a new one.
We like it both very much, that's why we take good care of it and try to keep it as stock as possible.
It's pretty ironic, because I have always leasing cars from my work (I got a Focus 2008, Octavia 2011 now a SuperB 2011) but we both prefer the Micra more, so it's always a discussion about who can take the Micra, especially when it's sunny
What did I do on the car? I did a small maintenance haha (oil, oil& airfilter) and repainted the wheels of the car last weekend, because somebody repainted those wheels with the brush :'(
When the tires need to be replaced, I'll replace them by alu's.
The only "problem" we had was that the car once didn't started because it was flooded and the fuel consumption was bad, we could only do 200miles with a tank.
I adjusted the throttle sensor, and it was much better. The gasrespons is better, starts better and less consumption (almost 300miles with a tank). I think there is still a little problem because when we start the car there is sometimes black smoke from the fuel (it doesn't use oil).
We checked the throttle valve on its own (it seems to be a problem with those cars) but that one is still in good shape.
Here some pics of the Micra:
Rims update:
Before (sorry for poor pic quality):
After (sorry for poor pic quality):
Btw: Normally I go each year to JAE. I'm thinking to go with the Micra this year (just for fun) so if you guys have a spot for a Belgian Micra, let me know
