help with electrics plz

hi all first of all id like to say hi im new here!
i have a k11 m reg 3 door 1.3 16 v micra but had a problem bugging me ever since i bought it, and wondering if anyone can help.
here goes,
first of all the interior light doesnt work, and when its in the on position the clock on the dashboard cuts out and resets. also the boot light doesnt work either. and when the boot is open the same thing happens with the clock. also forgot to mention when the clock goes off sop does the LED for the immobiliser.

are those the symptoms with the car off and the key out or when the engine is running? check are they the same for both...

first the standard thing is to check the fuses, i am sure it wont be related but it is good to do anyway, there is one fuse in the engine bay that keeps melting, its common on micras.

also see if you can remove the clocks and check that nothing has got wedged in behind them, again this probably isn't the cause but its best to check.

from what i can remember the power to the interior light is also connected to the dash lights, but also the stereo, have you recently done anything to the stereo? a loose wire in behind that could easily cause this.
