has my clutch gone?

i think my clutch has gone or is on its way out as im having to use loads of revs to get anywhere, the bitting point is really high. does this sound like its gone or is it a case of adjusting the clutch cable

I noticed that Ash when I had a go in yours.

maybe pull away from standstill in 3rd. If the car stalls, the clutch is OK

Hardly the release bearing needs to be greased up a bit? Ive heard of lads clutches being really stiff after the grease on their release bearing sets and makes the clutch pedal stiff

ive just tried pulling off in 3rd and it didnt stall so i guess its gone :doh:

When we changed my clutch we swung the Gearbox out on the trans axle, it was interesting to say the least, especially lining up the new clutch!
There where some very loud worrying noises and alot of swearing

the bite point was still high after adjustment, ive got a new clutch on the way

Could be lazy/ dangerous if you have a lift to hand and swing the Gbox out on the transaxle..
