Is there any thing you can byt that is good for removing large amounts of filler? Or is it the case of haveing to rub it back. Basically over done the filler by a long way and may take a while to rub back.

id say just keep rubbing it down use a coarse sand paper once you get near were you want switch to a fine one to smooth it of just perseverance Ive put to much on loads of times you just gotta sand it all down and learn from your mistakes.

Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Put it on, rub it off.
Sorry just a gag we say in the trade to trainees lol.

orbital sander, i use air powered ones at work. im sure they do mains operated ones. would be a handy tool to have once brought.

yeah like Kristians said any kind of electric sander is easier than doing it by hand.
And quicker too obviously.
Then just finish by hand.

my friends dad just used a small orbital one till he got near the end and finished off by hand smooth as glass now... well nearly (Y)
