flocking heck

i need my dashboard flocking....

i have painted it black but im still getting glare off the screen...

appart from suffolk flocking services, is there anywhere else to get this done?

going for the rally car look, (i might just as well actualy build a rally car..lol)

unless someone has a k11 pre-facelift flocked dash allready.??

what is flocking??

flocking is that black (usualy) fluffy finish to the dashboard of rally cars to stop it from shining off the windscreen.... this is done by firing small pieces of nylon thread into the dash at high speed through an electro static gun... usualy running at 30,000V or More.

the gun allows the flocking material the adhere to glue and to the surface making it very durable and also water proof...

ive seen bmx frames flocked and also boat decking too..

did you get yours done in the end ? If it was local to you and cheaper than the quote I'm waiting for from a local company to me I may have to visit my sister who also works at RAF leuchars

i flocked some bits in my K10 by hand lol wasn't brilliant but worked well for the money. used a small kit from a figure specialist. think it was around £10-£20.
