Not so sure about this but its a technology that is interesting all the same. EV motor racing BBC News article..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11354875

What is interesting is I was speaking to Tsuyoshi Kobayashi Nissans chief engineer of the new Nissan Micra 'V' platform and he was explaining how Nissan Japan had to do a roadmap for the UK government on the future of path of vehicle design as regards to petrol/ev etc and although obviously EV vehicles are to increase, piston driven engines are still predicted to be produced for a good 50 years yet...

Another article from the BBC shows the new Honda Clarity Hydrogen powered car. Now I quite like this as an idea for transport. Hydrogen is a very risky gas to transport and store and fuel cells are expensive but it does seem an expandable technology without overloading our already fragile national grid networks.

Don't really like the idea of electronic vehicles in sport, not yet anyway. Not just for the fact they're silent but gear changes are one of the key factors to racing. Knowing when to shift and how to drive your car to it's full potential is one of the elements to making you a good driver, not just sticking to the racing line. Twist and go bikes just seems to make it too easy!

The car does look nice though!
