engine starting

my micra is claimed off the road as i have yet to pass theory and pratical test, so my micra is sat on the drive doing nothing at all:down:
how long is it before i should start the engine just on driveway so the car dont get nackerd?

Nothing wrong with starting it up every couple days, and let it get upto temperature.

Yep, leave it in gear and with the parking brake OFF, cos the shoes will bind with the drums if the car is left sit for a period of time with the Parking brake on

I used to just start the car up check for leaks etc and also check all the fluid levels.

Before I came to drive it I gave it a coolant flush as the cold weather gave it a jelly like substance, I also did an oil,fuel,and air filter change just to make sure it was ship - shape when i took it out on the roads. Also it helps if you move backwards and forwards to stop the brakes sticking.
