engine cleaning.

well, i have fitted my rocker cover and everything else looks a mess, i.e rusty and dirty...

i started to clean my block and dizzy with a wire brush, emory paper, and degreaser.. and it looks ok but not great. what could i use to bring it back up to its former silver without using paint?

would wire wool and flash ultimate do the job? lol

wire brush on a drill... thats what i used on mine and it came up like brand new. the dirt isnt dirt its corrosion and it can only be taken off with either acid, steam and paraffin or a wire brush.

then use vasalene to stop it going back to crap again..lol

does vasalene actually protect it? lol will look a mug buying it from boots ...''its not for me...honest'' :S

I used back to black...it's only silicon, so will need topping up to keep dirt off.
