Door trim removal made easy :)

Hi all, I noteced a couple of threads advising different methods to remove the door strips. Just removed mine using this stuff and it works wonders

It's really just an Italian household de-greaser (should be available in UK though, keep in mind i'm from Malta) but made the job really easy. I did use a heat gun to soften the glue and paint before actually removing as well, but getting rid of all the sticky adhesive was a 2 minute job Its also safe on your gloss/metallic paint.

Well pleased with the result

P.S. another tip I'd advise is BE PATIENT with the actual removal of the strips so you don't damage the paint underneath.

thats really helpful, i had to remove the badges off the back of my car and actually used lighter fluid to remove the glue, also works really well i do have a slight outline from Micra though :/

I still have small marks from my bump strips. Might try and find something similar to that as I don't recognise the bottle

maybe CILLIT BANG degrease? also works wonders on the engine bay

The stuff is very similar to cillit bang, just make sure its safe on the paint
