Hi all.

NEW donny show post :)

CAR REQUIREMENTS
Cars are to be of show standard with modifications to either body, engine or ICE..........all 3 is great :) Cars should be fitted with full bodykit or have serious tuning work or Full ICE install

DATE/VENUE
The show runs on the weekend of the 9th / 10th of April at Doncaster Racecourse, Leger Way Doncaster DONNY SHOW WEBSITE

COST
The weekend costs £25 per driver and £30 per additional passenger, which gets you show access for the entire weekend from Friday evening onwards.

ACCOMODATION
I know of a fair few good hotels to book in the area, which are only a few mins drive from the show.

I will need to get the forms sent off asap, to ensure we get our stand allocation. Payment can be send via paypal to [email protected] or cheques made payable to either:

If we all got hotel accomodation at the same hotel, should be a good social event and ones I have used in the past are a few mins drive from the show. The weekend is a great experience such as compared to JAE, unforunately with less people and a smaller show stand.

Hotels for you.

The Belmont Hotel 12.5 miles from Show 16 min drive

Cost £85 per room based on 2 people sharing.

The Crown 8.1 from show 12 min drive

Cost £105 per room based on 2 people sharing.

Doncaster Moat House 3.5 miles to show 6 min drive

Cost £83 per room based on 2 people sharing.

Best Western Mount Pleasant 4.9 miles to show 8 min drive

Cost £93 per room based on 2 people sharing.


All above hotels have rooms free, I can personally recommend the Crown Hotel as I stayed there last year, excellent hotel, good rooms with plenty of parking. This year we have had a change and gone for the Mount Pleasant.

All hotels can be found online and booked through online booking which carries a considerable discount for doing so. If you wish to attend show either on the stand or just to visit I highly advice you book asap.

Think we stayed at the Belmont hotel last year. It was very nice, and the staff were friendly. :) Might just camp this year though and save my money for the kit hehe. :D

I did mention above what hotel we are staying in a few days back, I'll post up the site when I get home.

Most online booking sites say the hotel is fully booked, because they don't want the donny crowd in the hotel over the weekend, . I have found an online site that does a 31% discount for booking this hotel and it's quite posh too lol!!! So DON'T book by phone though!

I even checked by phoning them up:

"do you have any rooms available for the 8/9/10th of April?"

"quiet weekend away sir?"

"of course"

"we have several rooms available for you sir, what would you like?

Prices start at £125, £155, £195 (honeymoon sweet) per room for 2 people!!!!! ( no your not having that Sam!!!)

all you need is either the fri/sat night or just the Saturday night

excellent, I will be sorting payment out with people over the next few days.

Wayne you would probably be better off booking a show stand anyway to give you full weekend access even if the car isn't ready as we won't be filling the full 10 places anyway

planning on giving the money ne ways kev even if it never turned out wit goes towards access or if not then to the club.

Also booked into the Belmont hotel too hehe. :D Looking forward tto it again, just a shame I won't have any work done to the car lol. :)

I think that's possibly going to be the stand as I don't think we have anymore Micra's of show standard quite at the moment.

I'll be at donny but the k12 might not be. If it is it'll be in the car park. As im not planning on doing any stands until next year.

depending on how the next month goes and the possible completion of the project it may go on the super. so if had ne chance of getting that there for engine work then i could fill another slot possibly. depending on this month though:(
 
Hehe, that would be two people bringing two cars down lol!!! Still if it fills the stand up though it cn only be a good thing!!! :D

Stand isn't full and no it's not too late, but the form will be going off in the next few days
