Diagnosis central brake light and reverse light... post safari park baboon visit!

Hi all

Nissan Micra 2003

Took my daughter to the safari park for her birthday. Drove through the baboon enclosure.

Damage report.
Central brake light no longer working
Reverse light no longer working
One of those rubber strips missing from the roof
Plastic cover ripped off from drivers side indicator

The cheap deal for the safari park wasn't that cheap but we did have a laugh.

Question!
How could they have stopped the lights working. At the top of the boot just above where the central brake light is there is a hole on the metal work must have a diameter of about 10 or more mm.

I wonder have they removed something here which has caused the central brake light and reverse light to fail?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

The hole in the body work, could lead to water getting into the electrics and corroding/arching the terminals. check out the connectors inside the rear hatch and replace the broken/missing parts on the car is the best advice at the moment, photos next time is a good way to show the problems?
