Customer Rights - Refunding Faulty Goods?

I recently purchased some goods (subwoofers)... the goods were faulty. The service I received for having these goods installed was shoddy.

I later re-ordered the goods as I wanted to replace the faulty ones. These were not ordered so I had to remind the shop. Again, upon installing the goods some damage was caused and it was cow boy work.

My understanding is that 'special order' goods cannot be refunded due to the policy in place. However, I am so unhappy with the service and faults that I want a refund. Would that be possible despite the item being special order?

The receipt states this but the website policy does not. My order was placed on the website. I am hoping there is a loop in the Sale of Goods Act.

So screwed over... just want my money back. Am I in my right despite saying I wanted to re-order? Ive had enough.

Thats not clear enough can you explain exactly what happened in more detail? In what way were they faulty. How does the shop come into it if its on their website?

Surely if they were damaged on installation it would be the customers fault? Is it the shop thats fitting them or something?

its all in my comments about Car Audio Security in the ICE thread on the ICE forum...

I went in today... and confronted them... the manager was understanding... the fools that work on the shop floor are just cow boys. I went in keeping my cool but the guy was losing it saying "I dont believe this!" He (manager) got me a new sub p.d.q. and when I heard it I retracted my request for the refund. Apparently a lot of the guys there were upset by my home truths but they seriously messed me about... it doesnt take 2hrs 30 mins to fit a stealth box... I was told it would be ready and would be done within 10 minutes... the manager knows more than the guys on the floor... a bit of Retepsir to be honest! Configured it... sounds sweet...

Ive learned some important lessons... anyway I still dont know if I will go there again although the manager did give me a warranty and half...

cheers

sounds like some of the stuff that makes halfords look half assed. the specialist knows what to do, as does the fitter. the manager has a fair idea.....but the part time monkeys know fugger all and end up causing more trouble that solving....

it winds me up no end (cos its usualy me that has to sort it out, like telling people to turn the Low pass filter on on the sub and to plug the amp into the head unit)

its annoying to say that someone would be spitefull enough to damage a customers product because they know more than you.......
