Custom K10 spoiler idea

This isn't for performance reason, although might cause some extra down force or drag, just think it will suit the K10 but wanted to hear what people thought before my idea goes any further. I'm not a huge fan on the spoiler you can get for the K10, a bit small and no style, although I do like the spoiler on the K11.
Below are is a sketch I've done just to get an idea, its basically a Honda civic spoiler custom to the K10. I know some of you might think its odd mixing the 2 different styles but I like the look of this spoiler.
If you search for "Honda Civic Mugen Spoiler" you will get a better idea, unless the picture below is good enough. Only difference is that I plan to make the wing adjustable, so you can change angle to 3 different stages.
I was thinking about buying the Honda spoiler and cutting it up to fit, but it might be more work than needed, might be easier from scratch.

I'm really crap at Photoshop but I gave it ago, so be nice it wouldn't be as big as that in the picture, but the best I could do.

I can kind of see where you're going with this, try building a cardboard mock up first and see from there

Yeah that's what I will be doing and different is my aim once I got a mock up I will be getting the parts laser cut at my University and making a mold, finally fiber glass it for strength and hope it turns out ok

Once this is finished I will make a version on a 3D CAD software and get it made correctly.

Although I think its to high of an angle, maybe more like the red line?

Its just to get an idea. Doesn't look the best.
But its pretty hard out of card, the real thing can be smoothed with filler and neatened up loads better

Love the shape of the k10 uncluttered, or at most a small lip spoiler but that is just my opinion. No matter what it is you do, do it for you and no one else. What ever makes you happy dude

Cheers. Not sure myself, one reason I posted it on here... Just like the idea of having something different to everyone else, if you know what I mean. I do like the stock look, however, not a fan of the small lip spoiler, that's why I was thinking of this (different )

I used a bin bag and lots of tape when I did mine, at the time I never thought of the way you've done it.

Masked all 4 wheels up in comfortably less than 5 minutes with playing cards

The Foah spoiler I had sits flatter and longer than the Super S one. I loved how this looked

Saying that I think there are about 3 different Foah ones available, plus a few others. God knows how easy they are to get hold of now but instead of designing something new, you might be able to modify something that's designed for another car and make it fit. Good you're trying something different though.

Modifiying is about what you want to do. It might look crap but if you like it, who cares It's nice to see something different

The only reason we do all this is to be different from every other day to day car. Otherwise we'd all be the same old farts different is good in my eyes. This would be a summer job anyway, just seeing my the micra fans think before I get started

Like the idea of your design, in my opinion I prefer the shape of the red outline edit you've done, I'd maybe have the top edge running flat to the top of the car maybe? Also I'd make the actual wing/fin bigger too. Have you thought about maybe incorporating a high level brake light into it too? That might be pretty cool?

As for the missus... Most woman have no vision, they can't see what you're on about till you finish... Mine's the same but she always ends up going "Ah, now I see, looks good"

It could be, but everything I've done to my car increased it all by only £50 tops which isn't bad. And for the booze... I've done way to much of that at University, taking a break from that

Yeah I did think about the brake light but wasn't sure how to really do it. Will look into it again and come up with an idea.
Also I can't really picture your idea of the spoiler, I can but can't if that makes sense, any chance you could do a edit of mine??
My misses thinks I'm crazy for doing all this work on my car lol, but shes never had a car she cares about, so that might change when she gets her own one.

Yeah I'm starting to go off the idea of the spoiler at the moment, don't think it will suit the other things I've got planned.
One reason I posted it on here, to see if I would change my mind.

I read up on a few things about that car. It was made for the Japanese version of BTTC. Think it had about 150 bhp if my mind serves me correct. I will try to find the links.
