conzult (trial version)

Ive got a conzult wire/plug and a disc with the trial version of conzult off ebay and just wondering what you can actually do with it? as all i can do with it is turn the cooling fan on and off. only thing that i can think of that it might be is that i am using a serial to usb conversion cable to connect it to my laptop

any help will be appreciated

i think you can only monitor the settings with it ash, and any changes (timing etc) will revert when you turn the engine off iirc :grinning:

thanks frank, the problem is that i cant do anything at all with the software apart from turn the rad fan on and off

i think you can only alter the spark timing and idle control anyway ash, and the timing will revert apparently,
there are other software options tho are,nt there (solarice may know ?)
or baguete is probably the best one to ask

thanks ive also tried data scan and it wont pick up the revs

I use several Consult softwares, but the best ones are DLLReader, ECUTalk, Conzult and Nissan DataScan (1.4 version is free), and all work fine...

thanks baguete, i have now ordered a express card with db9 to use rather than a usb to db9 cable

My Consult cable is USB, dont need a DB9-to-USB converter. It only needs to install some drivers...
