cleaning up engine parts in oil

just started striping the engin in the brava and it worse than i thought, real bad! its covered in "mayo" or as i call it, lard, yes its that bad! anyways, all these parts need cleaning up and putting back, will de-greaser be ok or sumic stronger/better? cheers guys (pics below)

brake cleaner or jizer is used by most workshops, you can get jizer in spray cans aswell
