CherryBomb Exhuasts

They're loud! and aren't a direct fit, so they might be a cheap box but will require some work to fit them to your car. Mounts welded on or some other alternative
 
Well i have found an exhuast place not to far from me who specialise in exhuast so they will be able to fit it onto my k11 hopefully. Would you say its better to get one of those or a ashley 3" backbox? taking cost / noise into considaration...
 
Well what noise do you want? Loud?

Either will do the job, ive always like the sounds outta the cherry bombs
 
i like loud, but im not to sure if i would get annoyed with the "loudness" after abit....
have u got a video of your exhuast?
so i could just hear what it sounds like

I'll second this. Cherry bombs are for chavs driving a nova. Best stick to the janspeed plus if you decide to replace the whole system (inc manifold) you'll get a few more horses from the engine :)
 
ive ran my car with the backbox removed and it wasnt that loud.., ran it for ten secods with the janspeed and no back boxes and wouldnt recommend it..lol

but you could fit the cherry bomb to the centre section and run straight pipe to the bumper.. should be nice and low..deep. growling.
 
Cherry bombs aren't chavvy, they were around long before chavs, fitted to the old skool mini's etc.
I had one on my micra and the tone was really nice, it sounded kinda like I had no exhaust on, they don't silence very well lol.
 
LOL not wanting to turn this into an arguement but all I know is that around manchester Nova's, fezzy's and 106's have cherry bombs - when you see the driver they look like an e-fit from crime watch! LOL

The only reason i am thinking of getting this one, is its cheap and i think i would get the same kind of 'tone' that i would of a janspeed, and im not looking to get a whole janspeed system so the horsepower from a janspeed backbox wudnt make much of a different anyway.....so i think i shud purchase it 2moro?? :D

It needs welding, you can't fit it straight on, add this onto the cost and you're better off getting the janspeed really
 
second wilsonian ;)...cherry bombs may have been cool back in the day, but now they are cheap and for chavs...

any off the shelf system should be fairly quiet with a deep noise... (as they run a centre silancer)

but if its a knocked up one by your mate dave, or a custom made jobbie its proberly gonna be loud as chances are it wont have a centre silancer.

basiclly loud:
no centre silancer...

not loud but deep noise:
centre silancer.

As i said eariler up in the post...i have found a exhuast specialist not to far from me, who are gonna charage about 20-30quid for fitting..

So...thats 44quidss for exhuast and say its 30 quid for fitting 74 pound isnt to bad is it? :D

all iam gonna do is keep my system standard and just weld a trim on the stnadard back box to make it look abit better..wont cost me anything. for now anyway lol

then get the whole lot done proper in stainless 2" pipe with a mid silancer by and exhaust fabricator....

o okay that sounds good, not that im a CHAV AT ALL!
but my car is more of the badboy looking car...well thats what im aiming for...like tinted windows, coloured coded (soon), lowered (soon) and big exhuast :D so the cherrybomb kind of goes with the look
 
I'm cutting a second exit into my standard backbox similar to what I did to my last one which should give a nice tone.

My cherry bomb cost me 22 quid and I clamped it on, made a bracket and used a tube of exhaust paste, total cost was around £30

how long ago was that? and that was on your mini wasnt it so different setup...

wouldnt they be to short if i replaced both? and i would have to get a garage it i was gonna change both, as i wudnt be able to get the car that high up off the ground to do both...thanks for the link btw :)
 
Yeah I suggest you go to a garage, personally I'd take the exhaust system off the car and weld it myself, when you add in the length of the reducers they shuold be plenty long enough. Then i'd spray the end silver, a 2 inch tip should look and sound nice
