Had the nightmare call this morning on my way to college:
Hi is that Dave Bishop
REPLY Yeah who's this?
This is !?><>??1 >><?>"2
We have just found you car!
It's been stolen, the good news is i'm with your girlfriend and her Mum and it would appear the theives got to the top of the road before abandoning the vehcile! Can we talk to you about this other the phone?
Ensued a conversation of aout 10 minutes telling me in agonising detail what the little "expletive" have done!
Thankfully this was my second K10 not my Baby which is something but still doesen't make me feel any better about it!
I've spent hours stripping the interior and replacing it, getting new locks, fitting a heater system and countless other bits and bobs the exterior of the car wasn't perfect by an stretch of the imagination but was starting to look pretty tasty with sideskirts and the body kit bmpers front and back and was hoping to repair the sills and repair the blow from the exhaust, then it was just rewiring the headlights and sidelights! then MOT time!
Now because someone took a fancy to it that has gone to waste as while breaking in they bent the drivers side door and the passenger door open and have completely shagged the doors as a result because of the rain the new carpet is messed up and one of the door cards looks a little damp, they've messed up the passenger side lock and the key now won't fit! They've busted the drivers seat and the screws that hold it in place. Torn the ignition barrel appart and smashed the cowl to get it started! The interior looks a state the stereo has gone as has the tools i had inside it theyve yanked the plates off, both of which were found and they smashed one rear ligt and smashed a headlight!
The lucky thing is and which probably saved the car was the noisy exhaust which probably put them of leavng the close where my girlfreind lives, the scary thing is that it si quite a nice area and the car was parked on her rear of the house parking. The neighbours didn't here anything but apparently there was some HOODIES hanging round late last night!!!
On the bright side i still have the car and the bodykit still looks ok prob gonna need some love but i'm not looking forward to seeing it in the daylight to find out what i'm gonna have to do to get it straight!
Sorry for boring you all but i feel better now i've let it out!
