That's what it's all about with these cars, diyWell I got a fury works bottom brace ( it was £30 new ) and well it was cheap , sat way too low and poor finish so I ended up making one that sits 5mmm off the member and better finish made from 3mmm thick tube and plate then dc arc welded with a good solid penetration all round and some redlead
the car is surprisingly tighter, steering seems but more responsive
Not bad for a few hours in the garage with some scrap lol, View attachment 57368View attachment 57369View attachment 57370
Thanks , just need to tidy up the surface rust on the sills now lol
If you can anchor the lower brace to the center beam and the top brace onto the bulkhead, that would be even betterThanks , just need to tidy up the surface rust on the sills now lol
take it to the dragons den , just think tho how bad some car are, goes in come out as two badges and a steering wheel hahaI think there should be a car sized drive through dip, which is full of Krust. You could then drive through and coat the whole of the underside and treat and rust in an instant!
Looks unreal mate just got a pre face-lift myself your attention to detail is to be admired, hope I can get mine to that level one dayso finally getting there
today primed , painted and lacquered the floor
