bumblebee 1999 inspiration 1.3 2020 rework

Shows its worth doing for the seats.
Need to get one of those here. Cause the ordinary vacuum doesn't seem to make any difference.

Those were very clean when I got it but 31k with me and now 109/21years worth and work cloths ect
Seat cleaner , shake and vac ect didn't even touch them,
Got afew more cars to to lol,
Got a full sized Vax carpet cleaner used with hoses and swerl brushes was decent,
May need to got a 3rth time on a few places

So got a call my mates polo had broke down again.... But the clutch wasn't disengaging either the slave cylinder or the cover plates as failed , and
So threw a drawbar and dragged if across to a safe place cross town
Then after got told the brakes are sticking , and could feel it lol, and it was pretty well loaded up,
now seeing if he wants my grey Micra cause be somthing relable

Just over a year now and the cover cover is disintegrating and the hanger on the cat has snapped which will be fun to replace, specially when I find the spare one,
Wanted to get the cat off anyways to replace the bolts /threads as they are about done,

Mot /garage repairs seem to be the lowest form of repairs ,
The ancher point was rotten from the seal and inderseal failing, so cut and rebuilt ect gasless welded in strong and solid ,
Same for the inner arch but ran out of.wore and was 10pm ,
Vents cut and such
It's weirdly soldid just local areas or easy enough to cut off ones

Two together, will say it not a patch on bumblebee,
Wing is rotten and made of filler and somehow holding well?,
Last few days bumblebee been getting alot of hard driving lastnight very hard and braking near the house started to get fade and parked they were smoking , don't blame them,

Also on a usual check noted around cylinder 3 is getting quite hot and is close to the exhaust ,

Had a bit of a melt down, so start to pick things back up once again,
Hoping to get this and my dads pickup sorted the start of August or enough to use , so bumblebee can get some needed work , repaired, and redo/mod bits and maintenance
Looking at the is preface it's generally in good shape , just usual stuff and it's got test but rather get it all sorted cause I'll probs put a test on it and sell once I've got bumblebee back on the road once again,

Pulled the plugs on the preface, they are worn but ok, cap and rotor arm have corrosion so quick clean,
Driver's window decided to become a skyline rear window lol so redone that
Put a simple rear mudflap in got afew bits to drill for the bumper and inner trim,

Been cutting and mostly pully the sill off by hand lol then got the plasma cutter out the cut the rest ,
It's fairly solid they litrally welded over the orignal rot and then tiger seal over the seam , an some white bathroom sealnaf on the passanger side,

Also forgot this doesn't have the center sill layer

Rear vent been seam sealed just got the some thing to finish,

Door handles.are falling apart from been degraded by the UV since it's just plain glass, so sanded primed and some Matt black paint looks and feels better

Get it sorted,
Hopefully this be sorted soon so bumblebee can get fixed

So more rust lol, passanger side is full of tiger seal,

Got given some hub caps that look real smart on 14s with bigger fatter tires , quick brake check after some gental usage last week lol,

Cut and cutting goin back the bare on this one then stripped everything

Cutting the passanger side back can see the quality repairs

Fuel filler and inner arch isn't bad

And all the rot is low down or on the single skin or easy cut off which makes life easy the upper Halfs ect are all good

Then welding the inner sill, the seam sealer caught fire , didn't realize there a big ball of it under the seat mount and this seems weirdly very flammable to facelift stuff and within less then a minute this ....
Fixed the loom better is a pov spec so less on it but just want a new card and winder now,
And runs
Gave it a service cause God knows when it's last was looking at the filter been as few years and oil,
Done 6k miles in 11years and looks like it was dealer looked after then past few been just some bodgy garage ,
Took the old pads which were still Lucas nissan

But got another (its not mine a friends) arrived and tbh it's gone and bodged the exact same places + some bonus on the arche and carboard wing lol,
Runs brilliant and very quiet but oil is semi solid lol

Getting it sorted now :)
Once some stone chio and bits
Be the passanger side rear and the front which I forgot about lol,
I'm also going to be sorting a another 97 shape for a friend together and talking about shot blasting, zinc and nylon painting the wishbones and axle on bumblebee :)
If cheap ect might aswell along with the new sills , brake/fuel pipes , and sorting issues or has

So most the work is done
Cost £100 in paint, primers treatment , mig wire ect
All gasless
So it's actually solid and been waxoiled worth areas been seen to and sorted ,
Not finished it's weatherproof ATM but wants some minor finishing, front inner arches and bit around the rear floor finishing but it's on the road

So Sunday was bumblebees last day before the insurance was swapped ect
Ended up with a hell of a run to get Somone , rushed and she showed some more of what she can do even of knacked tyres
The preface was weird to get is as soft suspension , slower rack ect , slid around bends but got use to its characteristics

It's so small to a k14 lol
Rebalanced the wheels
So the n/s light was abit slow to turn on at times and this happended , corrosion on the contract so cleaned and sorted
The top mounts mainly drivers were shot so had some decent spares so threw on
All came apart very easy weirdly

It's on maxxis from and cheaper rear , good tracking ect and this car can handle pretty well, been testing it out and it does slide but controllably / almost about right,
Tho a empty boot find the rear does get tail happy on ruff ISH or braking with any steering imput easy
Had a honda jazz alloy and jack with a gun in the boot helped with that quite alot on the same roads
Brakes are about cooked , cleaned up but will get some new at some point stop it decent just not as good as it could do
Better then my dad's pickup the apec pads got heat soaked and faded to almost no brakes on a back road , got euro part brembo ones in the turbo pickup that's heavier ect and that stops twice as good and no fade

And got a new wing for it and the red Micra that I'll start for this lad soon ,

Also this white one seems happy it's gotten some love and attention + a service ect
Last year it did 230miles or somthing done almostn 200 the past 5 days lol

So
Bumblebee will be started on , I've got my dad's pickup to do, strip bumblebee ,
And start looking and going deeper into it
Looking at afew mods and options with bits to be done or bought , maybe make see what happens
Re organise some the insides clean it up and maybe have the weight played with more since it always had alot in the rear

Quick micra comparison
Note the tyre hight diffence ,
Started to strip the interior out, and the sills arnt great inside , but also a old leak on the roof seam that I sorted last year had caused some rust after getting under the seam sealer same as the preface but that was alot worse,

She's still strong , nothing, sounds or bending,

Collected some sr-s cube z10 40/45 front 30 rear coils , look pretty much new see what those are like if they are better

Do the passanger side and sort storage of the parts in the attic and my bedroom, mostly , for now got to be drivable around the yard ,
Till the pickup is done , just fault finding ATM, and clearing out,
And seeing about new parts or getting ones redone

Old phone died , and things have been pretty mixed up
So bumblebee been living in the garage for a while , striped out mostly , getting a lot of welding and stripping , and some redesigns.
Finding design. Build, and my faults.
Found tue sump gone , rear seal gone, rocker seal gone again,

Still driving panda micra. Thats had decent bit of work and mishaps.
And doing other micras

Its been a while
Panda my 1997 preface almost got wrote off
Hit by a stolen boke and since last poadt near 10k miles , still been reliable work horse
Had a 1.3 gx in black 45k for a little while
5 or 6 micras later lol
Some work has restarted on bumblebee
See if i can load some up
More stripping, welding. Gonna sort suspension and it been stripped and redone

Work done
Rear foot well done , o/s inner outer , mid sill
Inner arch and arch lip
Vents ans arch
Removed some of the rear crossmmeber
Half the floor is stripped
Floor is plugged, welded and all holes or bungs welded up basically inside is done
Under is get it 100% stripped and any rust gone ,bilt hamber and have it ready for epoxy primer

Get most the rear mainly o/s
Can pull the engine and crossmember out for a new sump , rear main, checkup and maintance
Original crossmember of a mint but rolled 51 to be welded on
Engine bay ect cleaned up and out
Spin rhe car and passanger side to do


Jdm parking pole as well, fitted boot mat, spats , modded 22v or brakes to micra pins
Custom made cube alpha style manifold
Dyna mat , giz fab ajustable arms
White line arbs

Then once on the road eventually be done e55 nissan ultra yellow pearl

And panda can get its timming chain maybe a gearbox rebuild done :)
