Boot Release handle...

hi

can anyone tell me where the boot release handle should be located, if thre are any mountings on the car for it and where the cable normally goes?

the handel goes at the side of the drivers seat, holes are already pre drilled for it, the cable runs up the drivers side with the wiring loom then catch bit fits on the boot catch in the boot.

yes i am, i am fitting to an LS so it didnt originally have it which side of the drives seat i assume the right and then under the carpet somwhere

i wouldnt have a clue to be honest , i might fit one to my k11

the hole's there, and I think it had a thread in it. I just poked a hole in the carpet with a screwdriver when I fitted it to mine, and I only had it held on by one bolt cos I couldnt find another hole (was perfectly stable and didnt move). If you have a haynes manual it has a picture in it of exactly where everything goes iirc.

The hole are next to the drivers seat on the right on the ls i fitted one on mine the holes were also covered with a little circle of leaver stuff ! ; )
