Is the almera 1.3 engine the same as the micra 1.3. Would it fit straight into a micra.

oh sorry. I read 1.3 advertise in the buy and sell mag over here in ireland. I take it a 1.4 would'nt fit

So a engine out of another nissan would be nice. My uncle dumped a 1.6 primera. Engine was perfect. But i found out when it was gone

My father is a mechanic but i dont want to get into too mad a hassle to change if i can help it.

i think if you can find a 1.3 then the swap is pretty easy. but if you are going for a different engine then go for a 1.6 because any bigger and you run into loads of problems and any smaller and you don't gain anything from the effort you put in to changing the engine.

I have a 1.0l and want something that is easy enough to fit and wont cost a fortune to do. 1.3 would be good but if a 1.6 could fit nearenough as handy it would be the better option

The 1.6 Almera engine into the K11 is not complex nor specialist. It's been done various times before with no issues.

yea i got a 1.6 and although i didn't do the mod myself i did look into it and it is fairly simple.
the only problem really is the chassis mod, but you may get away with it if you move the water pump and re-weld the engine mounts to move the engine over and it'll all be fine.
oh and believe me the 1.6 mod is SOOO much fun to drive
i would recomend it if you have the space and the time.also if you get a 1.6 doner then get the whole loom rather than convert the micra loom because you'll be left with idle problems if you don't

gearbox mounts dont need changing, just the gear linkage arm because its shorter.
