54 BHP Engine

Hi, I got the 1.0L face-lift Micra with the 54 BHP (haha...). This is the non coil-pack if im correct so putting in a 1.3 is a straight swap (and gain me 20hp)? Is it just the engine I need, or is the ECU/manifold ect required?

just the engine get one from same year car should be plug and play i was told by frank its a straight swop

haha :laugh: i wasnt blaming you haha,

been lookin on the bay recently and theres a few with gearboxes available. could be worth having a think.
ill be stickin my 1.0 box on a 1.3 in future for giggles though haha grr

Cheers for all the help lads, it probably won't be until a few months time as my 1.0 has only done 18000 miles so seems a bit of a shame but could do with the extra 20BHP. When I used to have 5 people in a 54HP car it really didn't move so had to take out back seats to stop people getting in. :laugh:
Just starting to look into it but I will definitely do it. Combining with the Peter Lloys cat-back, an uprated manifold and air feed performance is quite good I hear?
