1600cc Micra ***NOW £1000!!!***

Most of you guys know the score. It was one of the first to be done, and I think it’s the only one in the club at the mo?! K11 Micra with Primera 1600cc engine. Don’t want to sell it as its such a laugh, gives me the giggles everytime, but needs to go :-(

All the hard work has been done, eg. the chassis leg has been modified professionally (by a bodyshop – to the tune of £450!) to allow more room for the pullys…

MAIN DETAILS:
1993 K-plate Nissan Micra K11
Super S front & rear bumpers
Super S alloys
Super S steering wheel
Super S front seats
Spax lowering springs (35mm)
De-cat section
Other interior fully stripped (you could replace with bits from scrappy?)
1600cc Primera engine & ECU (believed 1995/54k miles)
Primera gearbox
Custom drivshafts
Tax until July 06
MOT July 06

ISSUES:
1. Engine runs a bit funny…struggles occasionally at idle. It is believed to be something to do with the loom…the guy who converted it for us used the micra loom not the Primera one, so should be an easy fix – but it doesn’t stop you driving it…and having such a laugh!
2. Interior might need replacing if you want to use it everyday…we prepared it as a track/race car…but we need the cash now so its gotta go :-(
3. The car was/is a project…so its not completely finished…it can be driven no probs and all the hard work has been done already…just a few loose ends.
4. Bodywork aint brilliant! Its got knocks n dings on it, but it’s a 93 shell. Rust isn’t an issue though. Driver’s door needs striker moving as it doesn’t shut properly without a slam.

@ the end of the day…it was a project, and we have spent far too much on the car…over double what we are asking. I don’t wanna put it on Ebay, I want it to stay in the micra community!!

Its Jap...lol...so course its reliable! neva broke down on me

Not done 0-60...but its pretty quick!

Documentation lists as a 1.6

is it a big deal havin the 1.6? i would really like it but jus the issues :S i will also need to sell my car to get it so will need to see bout that but im really interested :D

j.a what did insurance say about it what was ur quote b4 engine conversion n after n few details like age etc...so have a general idea of what insurance view is on engine conversion
 
car was previously a 1litre. My insurance was with a specialist company for Competition Cars.

tis a real shame to not see this go, would be nice for someone in the club to take it and put some TLC into it. If this was back in october i would have bought it myself.

how low are you willing to go?

i've got to pay for a super s for a mate and his repayments are gonna be slow so i'm not sure how much money i'll have...
 
the loom used was from the original 1litre micra, and not the GA16 engine. However, it does appear that messing around with the idle screw does let it run properly for that run...

was driving it around yesterday...makes me sad to sell when i drive it...the car brings so many smiles wen u put your foot down!!

maybe it jus needs setting up properly...not sure, but cant afford to put anymore into it. if u need more info please email.

i would have had it off ya if it was still on the log book as a 1.0 :down: how much did it cost you to get the conversion done? what were the hardest parts of the swap cos i'm gonna do it as soon as i get paid

That would be illegal. And would void any insurance, not to mention car tax laws etc..
 
Ok I have 900quid to spend on a car i share my mothers K11 1.l...Now im really interested in this car 'REALLY' I want to go on my mothers insurance untill i can afford to properly go and build up my own no claims...


Some info *as i could do with some help*

The Mother has 9+ years! No claims blah blah never claimed blah blah

I have been driving 4/5 Months passed full uk license blah blah

firstly thanks for the interest, but secondly, i think insurance companies are pretty wise these days, especially as its not likely ur mum is going to want a 1600 micra.

by all means u can try and see if u can get someone like adrian flux to insure you, this might be worth while.

If u get a satisfactory quote, and are still interested then give me a shout on [email protected] (email) and will go from there.

The car is provisionally sold to NeX @ the end of March, but if i manage to secure a deal before then, he is completely aware that i need to sell. Cheers

engine conversion was quite costly...

engine/gearbox/ecu was £450
Nicon_23 fitted them for a reasonable £350
Custom drive shafts...£cant remember
Chassis modification £450

tis a quick car...more can be done too coz engine still standard at the mo

mate you have no idea :D i'm gonna see how many pannels i can change for fiberglass. but paint the same as the car colour for stelth ;)
