1.2 cam in 1.0 K10 - improvement?

Been told that a 1.2 cam is a hotter cam than the 1.0 cam. What does this mean and is it a worthwhile mod? I am looking for a bit more top end grund and do not know how to achieve this. Thanks all.

you can fit the 1.3 cams in the 1l engine, cams give u more bhp

not in k10 you cant unfortunatly (regarding the k11 cams as per above)

no real point unfortunatly mate. invest in.:
ma12 - complete engine
outlet manifold
exhaust system

1.2 camshaft does have slightly higher lift than the 1.0 so would give a slight gain, how much is unknown but i doubt it will be noticeable,

you may as well go for a MA12 engine for more grunt. if not then get a 1.2 cam and have it reprofiled for even more lift.

Puzzled!!...How can getting cams reprofiled give more lift? I thought that the tip of the cam was the point of maximum lift. Does that mean that they add material to the cams, or change the cams on the rod or does the reprofiling change only thebehaviour of the opening and closing rates?

they lower the low parts and you adjust the tappets to compensate, so the higher parts are in turn higher,
