Yeah about doing more then next thing i want to do is install an air filter, not exactly sure which one i should go for? and then where to get it from?

Any suggestions people?

Very nice mate, might have been better if you are able to move the neons further back to hide them a bit, if you click on my blog below, you can see I've fitted LED's in the foot well quarter panels. Best place to fit neons are under the seats. Good job anyway pics look sweet. Is there a green alien on the Passenger side, lol.

Refering to the "Green Alien" LOL!
Its a christmas tree (with LED's on), i picked up from ebay for a couple of quid for the festive season :p
And i put the neons under my seat at first but just cudnt securly fasten them down.

Brought Some Wheel Trims, Really Made Me Think About Getting Proper Alloys But Ill Rather Increase Performace Than The Look Of My Wheels o_O

I Took Some Pics Of The Car When I Took The Orginal Trims Off I Was Thinking Of Keeping The Beautiful Steelies, But The Mrs Called Me A Tramp LOL!

Busy Sunday

Okay i was outside in the cold today doing afew thingss...
The pics problly tell more of the story than me but if you are intrested here i go lol....

I brought this custom air filter made for a civic type R off ebay, i went to collect it today as the postage was 12POUNDS! So i fitted the air filter with this chap who turned out to be a really nice bloke, we fitted the air filter didnt take to much time & what a difference it has made with noise and alittle bit of gain in higer revs....i enjoyed the drive back home very much!

When i got home i decided to debadge the back, not a clever decsion on this cold, cold sunday but thats all sorted now and looking great :)

Feel free to comment tell me what you think.....

O Private plates put on aswell, (R8 KCP) KCP being my initials.

I was there about an hour, trying to use an ice scrapper and all my credit cards in my wallet to scratch the ####### sticky foam off! lol

Cheers MM, Was just wondering if anyone knows but can i sand down my side skirts and then spray them the same silver as the rest of my car? Basically colour coding my car....

Cheers Frank, always nice to hear nice things :D

I had some **** friends of mine stick a tacky sport badge on the back.

I used a heat gun. Melted that ####### right off.

They are defiantly some **** friends lol

You'd be surprised how popular those seat covers are, i have them in red, PJG has them in blue and i believe there's a few other members who have them, cant quite remember who exactly lol. They do make a difference, just pulled mine out of the tumble dryer this minute after a year of them being on, they look like new =]

o wow lool! i do like them, i didnt use the metal attachments or anything to fit them on thought did you? and i have you cut into them to get to the handle on the driver and passenger side to move the chairs forward to get into the back....this is me guessing u have a 3 door..

Yeah I just stuck them on over the top of the levers and make people struggle to push it up and down lol. If they complain i just say micras werent meant for passengers anyway.
I got plastic hooks with mine, i used them to hook the hoops onto wherever i could under the front seats if you get me, for the back seats i tucked them under the bench as much as possible, and for the backrest i folded the seat forward, tucked them round and put all the hoops onto a bungee cord to hold them in place.

I cut the back seat ones to let the seat belt buckles through and my girlfriend at the time stitched the edges so they wouldn't fray.

Rev Counter FINALLY! Installed *phew*

Pics are abit poo cus i was driving while taking 2 :upside:

Dont know if other people get this, but it doesnt seem to go above 3thousand revs....im not exactly sure why this is i have changed the 3 settings you can on the back and still nothing....Anyone else had problem like this?

are the settings 4, 6 and 8?

Or over various numbers that would relate to engine pots? You want it on 4.

But that doesn't solve it going about 3000.

Okay i have been doing abit more modding on this cold tuesday evening, i have started to sort out my grill. I have been following the guide 'jim_bling' has done on the DIY section on how to mod my grill :grinning:

Anyways i have got this far but i need to know the best way of spraying the grill black...any ideas?

Also got some pics of me starting to spray some of my dash parts...

Looks good mate. Just sand and clean well before spraying it then plenty of laquer afterwards.

Iv sanded abit, but doesnt seem to be going anywhere apart from scratching it o_O

MM u know a good place to get mesh for my grills btw? Can i just use B&Q mesh? lol

depend how you want it to look mate. Do you want black or silver? As I may have some black mesh left over after I re-mesh my grille. put up the dimentions of the 2 pieces you need.

Well enough to fit the grill, i am at work and wont be able to measure it up until tomorrow as i am busy tonite. Ummmm wouldnt it just be the same dimensions as your grill?

Pics and prices would be good aswell, please MM :upside:

my mesh cost me £10 for a big square, from a car shows...it just has to be thin stuff really, it squashs in between the grills, you may have to heat the clips so it pushs in and traps the mesh if you get me?

the chrome is a ballache to get the paint to stick to it, i had mine done by a profesnial...i painted them myself at first, paint only lasted a week after the stones chipped it off lol. altough are fine now, have lasted 2-3year!

Thats good but obv, you paided proffesional to do it.
I think if i sand the bugga's down loads, and then prime then spray with the normal black spray paint, fingers crossed should be okay :)

Mesh i would just wanna pick up and place in yeh, but dont think anythings ever that simple lol

O btw i have brought some tint spray for my back lights, can i just take my lights out and spray them? Is is that simple or do i need to leave certains reflective parts of my lights unsprayed?

Nah cause my grille is long and thin (prefacelift) not sure what dimentions the facelifts are.
There is a pic in my blog of it some where.

Yer you can't tint the reflector.

O God =/
Which part of the light is that?

And okay i will measure it and get back to you, how much will you be looking at selling it for tho?

well if you got any pics i will just buy it dont matter about my dimensions aslong as i can have the dimensions of how big the mesh is :)

well i need to know how much you need as I may not have enough offcuts when I've done my grille.

looks like this:

O okay sorry my bad, i thought u had finished with it as i would of just used anything i had spare, ummm i will nip out of work later and measure it up :)

But looks like just what i want.

12 by 4 Inch each grill....you can do the math :)
But if you havent got any enough left over after you have done yours dont worry mate.

looking good and check out my blog for the bits to mask off when spraying the rear lights

My lights are different to yours tho, dunno if you can see them on the above pics...but there isnt any obv reflective part to my lights...if you get me :S
