The next stage of mods I'm planning for my car is the ignition system and fuel system, consisting of denso iridium spark plugs, an MSD coil pack and new fuel injectors. I figured that since I was going to upgrade the ignition that I'd get some new fuel injectors for the car as well.
My only question is: would the car need to get a map or an ECU program or anything like that to compensate for new fuel injectors? The current injectors are 16v 1.0 litre injectors, presumably by Bosch, and the new ones look to be the same as the old ones. Would this still need a map even though the injectors were the same, or would the ECU just remain the same to work with the new injectors? And even if the injectors were a from a different manufacturer, would you need a remap?
