Next part involved poling holes in the bodywork.
Rear floor was a bit crunchy so the interior came out to reveal...
So out came the grinders and weldy machine to leave...
While the weldy machine was out I decided to 'inspect' the bubbly paint on the drivers sill.
D'oh!
Fixt!
Next came the headlamp problem. The car was suffering from metled headlamp plug syndrome. Before doing anything else I removed the main earth cable, cleaned the terminals, cleaned the points it contacts the body/engine, refitted and coated the points with vaseline.
After that I replaced the melted plugs...
with new cearamic ones!
Before you ask, we used to sell them on ebay then our supplier discontinued them. We have not had the chance to source new ones yet but we will soon!
Finally we noticed the sunroof didn't close flush. Lubricating the seal with vaseline (which usually works) didnt help. So we had to operate!
Tilt the sunroof and slacken these TORX screws...
and tilt the sunroof in the desired direction. Earlier K11s have small plastic covers over these screws.
Da dah!
