why do i have screws holding my rocker cover on?

i tried to remove one once and it rounded immediately. any advice as to removing these and replacing with allen head or torx bolts would be appreciated.

Impact driver or screwdriver bit in a ratchet

If you get the screwdriver bit right they shouldnt round at all. Easier in a ratchet too

a sharp chisel on the outer edge usually free,s them off

dam frank beat me to the to stop it coming off lol,

but in all seriousness its a crap idea, the 2 engines i stripped down they all came out with the correct fitting bit in a ratchet apart from 1 which i got with mole grips, i then replaced them with cap heas screws incase i ever had to take them off again.
