Which standard K10 Carb is best for performance?

I know that the 1.0 litre carb is slightly better jetted than the 1.2 litre carb.

But there are two different types of carb available on the 1.0 litre:
- The older style with both fuel pipes going straight to the carb
and
- The newer one that seems to appear from 1986 onwards that just has one pipe going to the carb?

Anyone know what the difference is and which is best?

i would say after ahiving both the 1.0 and 1.2 carb on a 1.2 the 1.0 carb is better on the 1.2 because the jets are bigger and was less restricting as the 1.2 carb i has was all electronically controlled etc

The old pre 1986 one or the post 1986 one?

I think the differance in the carbs you have is to do with the fuel pumps used, on the earlier models the fuel pump didnt have a return to the tank so it was done from the carb (your carb with 2 fuel pipes) and on later models the pumps were fitted with a fuel return to the tank (carb with 1 fuel pipe) as far as i am aware there is no difference as regards jets, chokes, venturies or anything, but ill have a check when i get home.
