Which engine is it?

I've been told there is a 1600 Nisan engine which is smaller than teh normal 1600 engine, is same length as a 1300 and is a straight fit into the engine bay. (No cutting the chasis rail). In fact externally you can't see th edifference from the 1300.

I was told by a gent that he got one out of an early Almera.

Apparently they do exist in the UK but are more common is Aus. But does anyone know waht it's designation is and what hey were fitted to?

most likely an old 1.6l out of an n13 or 12.... if anything that would be the closest. but i doubt it otherwise everyone on this site would have one
