Which Car ?

IF I was to buy a new car with a budget around $20k what would be the best buy? 4 pots, manual and mainly used around the city.I wish the Micra had a manual but even then not over keen on it.Come on people, some ideas comments appreciated.

Hi Micra Man,

I am in the same predicament... i need to replace my k11 micra in the first half of next year with a new vehicle with a budget under $20,000 on road... I just wish that k11 super march was available here like in Taiwan, i would buy one of those in about 5 seconds !

After investigating all the available options the two i am personally interested in are the following ;

New Suzuki Alto

If it's any good when I inspect it real life I will probably buy the Suzuki... it's no sports car but has amazing fuel economy, plenty of safety gear, has a bit of personality & according to reviews from overseas should be pretty fun to drive.

I also like the new Jazz, it's a great car but is a bit bigger & more expensive than the suzuki so that's my second choice for now... It has a great engine and the interior space available is just awesome.

Mitsibushi Colt? I know the rear end not the best but it always seems to get good write ups and has a 1.5lt. motor and very good fuel economy.Oh yes a Taiwanese K11 would buy one also in 2 seconds.

Yes i forgot about them... they seem like very good value for money and as bonus come with a 5 year warranty.

It's probably worth waiting for the 'face lifted' version is due out some time next year... The two door version looks pretty cool.

What about Honda Civic VTI? They are about $20K and seem to be great value.
