the corsa bottom bolt is 10mm joe, k11 is 12mm
Right so whats the best idea for using corsa shocks then? If i just use a smaller bolt they'll be loose at the bottom wont they?

drill the sleeve or whack the 10mm bolt upRight so whats the best idea for using corsa shocks then? If i just use a smaller bolt they'll be loose at the bottom wont they?
drill the sleeve or whack the 10mm bolt up
nah, use a 10mm bolt and nut, and whack it up tight (80nm ish)just push it through? would it still bolt onto the thread after?
WEST SIDE IS DE BESTEast side iz de best!!

You,re just clamping the bush as normal, but making sure that the 10mm bolt does,nt move about in the 12mm holeand that wont immobilise the shock too much?

I have an injector flow tester/cleaner here at work
So when grinding them in (cause the bushes are wider) ive gotta make it still a pretty tight fit then so theyre tight to clamp onto...
might try drilling them out, got no pillar drill though and by hand is risky dont wanna ruin them
also i WILL finally be painting up the mounts for my strut brace in primer at least and hopefully gloss black finish too!
How much to get them cleaned?
nooooooooooooomaby drove it for the last time
i love the location of them dials they look like they should be there
I relocated my dials so I can now see them while driving. Just got to tidy it up a bit. And sort heating controls out cos it's bloody cold
what did you do with the heater controls euro?

they're in the garage atm belly till i find somewhere to put them. maybe facelift/prefacelift hybrid centre console, but too much hasslefor mewhat did you do with the heater controls euro?
make a hybrid pre-face/facelift one mattyeah I agree it's the best location for them imo, worth the extra work than dash pods. just wish the wideband surround wasn't so big.
What's people thoughts about the location of the heater control panel, I was going to go for glovebox but I don't think the vent cable or loom will reach

Discovered that my springs actually support the car higher than the maximum shock extension so i now have preloaded springs and a lower rear ride height than before had to put all my tools in the boot with me to bolt the top nut haha .
aye, thats a lot of preload if its lowered the car ! we did it on a mk2 escort once, and it handled great on the oval (was megga jittery in the unsurfaced pitlane tho lol)This isn't good! It leaves the suspension with no ability to drop down into a hole in the road. At speed your tyres will be leaving the road at the top of every crest too. It also leaves no ability for the rear of the car to roll normally. You need to cut or swap your springs so you have some 'droop 'measured from your ride height.

What size are the 2 that fit properly?
i might get this if i fit some and relocate my radiothats the plan at some point over winter while indoors, stock look ftw. but too much work right now. managed to push it down beneath ash tray and pluged front into loom so i can atleast turn it off n on
theyre all 52mm gauges, just that 1 surround is larger so it doesn't slot in, can mount it from behind though.

8.15 chris, and i,ve got work thisafter lol (and only 1 car nowadays )What time did you start mate? blimey!
zero smoke thank fxxx the c/r must be more than i calculated tho, i had to use 5th gear ffs! to check there are 4 good compressions down our hill, but it sounds very sweet considering there a 2 chainlinks removed (the tensioners hav,nt started to move yet lol)its a goer lets hope these newer corsa pistons dont have a thirst for oil this time

fire up a video of her running ??Why fifth gear mate?
aye lol this should test out those 12 quid ebay headgaskets chrisfire up a video of her running ??

the 1.0 piston one i just took out would take half a minute to turn 1 cylinder/compression in 3rd gear down our hill, and half a minute for all 4 cyl,s in 4th gear (tested this morning)Why fifth gear mate?

but this engine would,nt budge in 3rd or 4th gear (it just sat there lol) but it turned over nice and slowly in 5th
if you put your car into gear its hard to push aint it, harder in 1st gear but easier in 5th.I am so lost.. all i can translate that into is.. I have no idea tbh./

i dont have a compression tester, so i use our hill instead
