what did you do to your micra today ?

Got the boot/fuel flap pull in by the way! My car has no holes to mount it next to my seat though....... Some improvisation coming right up!

Lobsters! Thats an understatement..... could Barley move today :L

Was worth It though :) got some awesome comments and mildred was re introduced to her previous owners.... they didnt even recognise her and said some lovely comments :) missed her so much they bought another micra :) x

Come on, you did it on purpose so you could colour-code yourselves with your cars....

Wired sub in as a speaker for time being. Sounds better. Need an amp though.

Front brake pads should be sorted later today. Tempted to chop a couple of coils off too.

Just a bit low...

That is impressive.... Never have my brake failed me, still using normal pads and disks.
None of this high performance malarkey for me:p

Got no choice at places like Caerwent. 15 minute stages were even making competition pads fade really bad! Was using the handbrake to help slow down near the end of the stage

5-10mm strip of wet and dry used wet.
  • Soak half a wooden clothes peg in water with 2000 wet and dry.
  • Fold the paper over one of the flat edges of the peg and use it to etch the white mark away.
  • G6 Rubbing compound to the scratch and surrounding area.
  • 3M Finesse-It the same are.
  • Polish, seal and wax (with your choice of product) once a large area is done
  • Do whole car after your done! (3 months later!)
That was just a small area and after the G6. I detail quite a bit for myself and people I know, I actually love it...don't have THAT much experience etc...I do find it almost therapeutic though!!

I'm sure there are other detailers on here too, would be good to hear from some!

Think i'll start a detailing blog, or integrate it into my blog lol. There aren't enough hours in the day!!

Don't have the balls to wet sand my car... To scared :p

Don't be silly, it's the tinyest area...what's the worst that can happen!? The trick is to go lightly and slowly...

Put it this way, one of the steps to fill deep scratches (once I do the whole car with the above method) involves layering up the across the scratch until its above the paint, then scraping the excess off with a Stanley blade. Get the liquid compounds to hand first, you can bluff anything in/out with them!! :D

Still at it...

Big long scratch you can see centre left.

Sand, Liquid, Final Result. Only way I could show where it was, was using the deepest part of the scratch creating a tiny reflection distortion... (look at the can reflection!)

At least that's all I can see!!
