my engine may need a new chain soon and im just wondring if theres a way you can tell what chain the engine needs without taking it out

my engines making a nosie and i beieve its the chain doing it goner take the cover off later on to check it over

It was out about 1" or so I would say

I have a feeling that its leaking from the bottom crank seal aswell so its an un happy engine
