warranty issues

my power steering system failed to start this week. so i investigated to where and how to go about getting it fixed,due to my car being heavily modified and over due a service

nissan motor gb (NMGB) said the power steering units have been changed alot of times on the micra k12 and its a regular thing.its not a servicable part and regeardless of its service history and if the cars has modifications the dealers should replace the column with a new unit no questions asked and if they do i need to report back to NMGB.

so the cars been taken to the dealers today and i am waiting for the phone call to say my car is modified lol

as long as the mods dont in any way affect the steering system you will be fine with the warranty,

im sure you will be able to get it done under warranty

you never know, sometimes nissan will look for any reason, eg you fitted larger alloys to the vehicle caused to much stress on the steering, lol

yeah i know what they can be like.

its a faulty part and nissan know this. i would have brapped their eyes out if they didnt do anything about it lol
