Forget that turbo FAR to large. Get a bog standard T2 turbo, don't bother with water cooling, or if it has it you don't really need to use it. Make sure it has a very low pressure actuator say 4-5psi max. You can probably feed that into the carb as I am fairly sure they are sealed. Ignition would be a problem but for proof of concept you could alter that manually, it would be poor on performance off boost but it would give you something to work with.
Be cautious of other help you may get here as no one has actually done this and have limited experience with turbos at best. So therefore I recommend you try and read a book on the subject.
