I mean the sort of engine switch off when in traffic then starts when you press the clutch that eco mode
Made me smile that one....LOLZYou mean the ignition key?
I always thought it was bad for the starter motor.

A lot of people I know with newer cars turn the start -stop off, and I think I'd do the same for reasons of prolonging engine life.
I'd be a bit wary of a universal one, if such a thing exists, because the factory ones take into account so many factors when deciding whether to switch off, you'd be looking at a piggyback ecu type arrangement to do it properly.

The cars I've had with them they seem cool. Literally out of gear foot off clutch and it switches off
