To lean?

how can you tell if your cars running to lean? if it is then how do I sort it? a guy at work said my car is running to lean and that if i get it fixed then i will have a power increase because the piston won't be meeting its optimum compression, is this true?

look in the haynes manual and do a ecu mixture diagnostic test. will show if it running ok or too lean.

your lamda sensor should sort it out

and if your lambda sensor doesnt sort it out, get a new one

lambda cant always sort things out if you have modifications. with a 1.6 tb i needed to increase fuel pressure to stop it from running lean.

why's that? because of those two plugs that dont connect up?

i dont know precisely why but i had to do it. this was using the 1.6 ecu aswell.
