I own a 2006 Micra C+C convertible 1.6 petrol. I was having issues with the car idling so after checking a local garage told me it needs a new throttle body, which for my car is the electronic Hitachi RME 5011.
So I bought a new throttle body which the garage fitted yesterday. Now my car is idling between 1500 and 2000, whereas it should idle at 900. My question is this: does my new throttle body need to be programmed or be "re-learned" and if so can anyone please tell me the procedure, as my local garage do not have a clue what they are doing?
They have told me to "Just drive the car for a few days and it should re-program itself" which I think is a load of rubbish!!!
