i think it would work
i,ve got a multimeter on my dash and if i put a resistor in the lambda wire i bet it would change the reading and that would fool the ecu

it will just intercept the signal sent to the ecu telling it the cars cold it will therefore make the mixture richer and advance the timing slightly giving a little more power but it will run to rich most of the time wasting fuel you can buy these off ebay for about £10 but id save your money or if you really want to mess with it just get a resistor of the right strength and fit that.
