Think ive got a dodgy one

Hi all , my micra (m reg k11) has a problem ,when I come to start it , sometimes it will start ,fire up but cut out straight away and when I go over harsh bumps it cuts out or even when im just drivin around it will cut out , any help would be greatly appreciated , ignition switch maybe ?

Could be numerous things, Ignition switch, loose distributor, loose electrical cables, bad solenoid, you need to check everything.

I got same problem with you so I haven't solve this problem yet. It's so annoy you know. It happens to me in every mornings or if you leave your car on the road for too long time.

So far, I changed new alternator belt and new key.

The next job will be change new battery clamps, water pump and water pump's drive belt.

Had it on mine were it was the positive lead poping off put a spacer on the bolt job sorted

Really? I do remember that I got loose negative battery clamp. I can't tight it properly so I need to get a new battery clamp.

that most be comman as my neg leads lose as well but was not as bad as positive lead

A loose fuse is not uncommon, or one that separates and reconnects. Had that on a Honda prelude, it took the garage 3 days to find it!!!!

Have a local priest look at it for you.

Ive got a loose neg batterie clamp aswell I just thought some smart a$$ had put a positive clamp on must be quite common

Checked pretty much everythin ,if it was dizzy or any thing to do with the ignition wouldnt ignition lights come on when it cuts out ?

Turns out it was the ignition switch
