The remap?

take any car out of the factory...dont modify...but map it...can u get more power? or do card come out of the factory at optimum performance for what they are? because i have heard of remapping when you have new cams. but someone told me if you buy a turbo diesel and remap it from factory you could easily get an extra 20bhp from the remap alone?

it is kind of tru but not for every car as it makes the engine wear down faster the factory map is made up so it will run to a cirtain criteria or to the optium efficency but dont quote me on that mind as i aint 100 % clued up on engines

Thats cause on diesel turbos its easy to get power increases like that. Its harder on a NA petrol, but yes pretty much always you can get some gain, even if its small.
