The Micra Adventure; To Blackpool.

Some of you may remember way back to a couple of months ago when i tried to organise a micra meet in Blackpool.
The meet was eventually cancelled due to low numbers, but it was something i had been looking forward to and intended to do weather it was a meet or not.
So on the wonderfully sunny Saturday 18th we all hit the road to the west coast.

After arriving in Blackpool itself we pulled off of the main strip for a stretch and a wee photo...

...before cruising on through to Clevelys for some food with a view.

In attendance were;

The Foha Special (Richard's)

The Super S (Raf's)

The SunTop (Polished to a mirror finish) :grinning:

The March Turbo (Shaf's)

So Clevelys was cool but eventually it was time to move on, right after a bit of picture popping :grinning:

To Fleetwood, where even the evos wanted to pose with the micras...

The ride home was a "lively dash" over the Pennines :wasntme:

You can't run from the turbo, but you can damn well try :laugh:

All in all a wicked day out. (Y)

Name of this meeting: Quantity is NOT quality. Awesome pictures, awesome K10s. Thank you for sharing ! Hope it will give idea and motivation for some K11 quality meets.

Because they all wish they had a micra instead :grinning:
We could have taken all the k11s instead but they're all standard cars, no special or rare models. I think people would have wondered why we were taking pictures if we had gone in the k11s, they're not quite old enough to be classics yet :laugh:

gonzo; it's a reflector plate, amber at the top and red at the bottom. It's meant to continue the look of the back lights accross the boot lid. I personally aren't too keen on them but they were a very popular thing in the early 90's and richard wanted to put it on because "it's rare" so on it went lol.

I would have the TURBO any day of the week, Over the rest... Although they all nice, The Turbo is in a league of its own, Proper Rare (Y)

The reflective platey thing, is not appealing... The white one will probably look better without it, But hats off to the TURBO... fwn

Ah i've seen some of the old k11s with something like that on the back, i think they were just a sticker job. What engine is in that white one? it looks well modded
So that black ones got a turbo? Blimey did you fit that yourself? I hope you did something with the brakes, if they're anything like my bubble it won't stop

It's got a vtech shoe-horned in there lad :wasntme: Na just kidding, it's an ma10s. 53K on the clock, she's only a baby yet, not even run-in so we don't thrash it. Seems very grunty in the low revs for a 1L so i assume it would shift if pushed. Drives like a new car and we wanna keep it like that for as long as possible. My only critisism is that i can't hear the engine from inside the car when it idles, so i keep thinking it's stalled when i pull up to junctions. :laugh:
The march turbo comes from the factory already turbo'ed up dude, i wouldn't attempt a job like that. I might be good with an engine but i know my limits lol.
Turbos are next level modding :upside:
