sub in my k10

iv just finished wiring my sub and it is crackling lots when i turn it on. dont know whats causing it. any ideas?

damaged phono leads

poor earth contact

leads not plugged in correctly

gain is too high on the amp, and too low on the cd player.

But most likely the 1st one. As its sounds like your getting interferance.

have you run the RCA cables next to the power cable? should run them down the other side of the car really i think.

like the guys have said power leads on a seperate side to the rca cables found the left side was best for power as its the battery side all i get is a pop when i turn the stereo on and off and when i brake and when i put it into reverse.... im thinking earthing for that one?

and a power capacitor for clean stable source power

yh iv got the power cable on the other side to my aux leads and my remote wire, ill move my negative lead and find a cleaner connection,
