strange noise

Basically when im in gear foot off the clutch and no acceleration um getting a kinda clatter tap noise! But depress clutch the noise goes away and same again when I press accelerator!

Its worrying me as im doing a long drive tonight

after furthur thought as it is still apparent, its a cv boot! as it clicks under load and no when theres no pressure on it... not suprised at the angle there working at!

you mean cv joint lol if its cv joint you will hear it clicking on full lock when driving

one time my stock clutch used to rattle like mad whenever the engine was below 900rpm clutch released.

turned out to be loose clutch disc springs that rattled loosely at idle rpm but silences when the disc stops after pressing the clutch or when above idle and/or under load where the centrifugal force & torque secures em.

are the wheel nuts done up tight?! I got a new tyre fitted watched the guy doing the job, he did everything as he should torqued the bolts, but after about 100 miles the nuts worked loose
